Seizing THE opportunity from the crisis - that was probably not only the order of the day for us during the coronavirus pandemic. After we - like many, many other companies - lost an unimaginable amount of business overnight, meetings only took place online and business trips (especially international ones) were reduced to almost zero, the main question was: what happens next?
Certainly not an easy question ... somehow not until today. But what we noticed quite quickly after the first hesitant steps towards opening up is the increasing demand for domestic travel. Of course, many countries did not yet allow international travel or countries were categorised as high-risk areas. So it is hardly surprising that the demand for travelling within one's own country increased in the short term. There it was ... the opportunity! How often have I heard phrases in my immediate environment such as "finally get to know your own country" or "Germany has so many beautiful places".
We also clearly felt this trend, especially last summer, and focussed on the leisure business. We really appreciate good cooperation with competent partners. We got to know Kurzurlaub.de as such a partner during this time. With the focus on short trips within Germany, the short holiday experts have supported us with more intensive cooperation and planning to reach our target group in a targeted manner.
We are all the more pleased that the intensive collaboration of the past weeks and months has been crowned with the "cherry on the sundae". Just in time for the 10th anniversary of halbersbacher ... is fitting, isn't it? We would like to thank you for the expressive award with the Top Hotel Partner Award 2022 as a hotel group, which I was personally honoured to receive last week. :)
We look forward to continuing our good cooperation and also hope to strengthen domestic tourism in the long term ... for all of us!
