Chef Schnack: - We are tidying up - reorganisation and future plans.


It's actually been over 3(!) months....

since you heard from me. This time has passed so incredibly quickly that I'm actually lost for words! The summer in our hotels was wonderful, exhausting, remarkable, extraordinary, cheeky, loud, quiet and great - just like we humans are and we were finally able to welcome them back to our hotels. Yes, all that glitters is not gold and of the 325,000(!) people who left our industry, some were also with us - and didn't come back for a variety of reasons.

But, all of us in the hotel industry also have ourselves to blame! (Of course, I'm lumping everyone together, but exceptions only prove the rule). If you ignore your employees for decades, don't pay them particularly well, demand a lot and give little - well, that's what happens.

We can actually be very satisfied, we have "only" 10% vacancies, in other hotels or companies it's up to 40%, but that's not our benchmark. What are we doing now? A lot, I can promise you that much. We are tidying up our shop, giving it a good, damp wipe and reorganising ourselves - together with the people who are already with us and those who are yet to join us. Why do I believe that many people will want to work for us in the future?
