Review of the year 2024 - A year full of challenges and opportunities

2024 was a year full of movement, change and new perspectives for the Halbersbacher Hospitality Group. Despite numerous challenges, we were able to expand our portfolio, drive forward innovative projects and maintain our position as a provider of individual hotels in Germany.

We were proud to welcome three special new additions to our group: the traditional Hofgut Sternen in the Black Forest, the fairytale mightyTwice Hotel Achern, also located in the Black Forest tourism region, not far from Strasbourg, and the Tools Hotel Laichingen/Ulm in the Swabian Alb.

Three special new additions - New hotels, new opportunities

Hofgut Sternen impresses with its unique location in the Höllental valley and a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages. As a "green hotel", it combines sustainability with comfort and is an unrivalled experience with its glass-blowing workshop and traditional cuckoo clock shop.

The mightyTwice Hotel Achern, on the other hand, focuses on modern design and an inspiring atmosphere for travellers looking for something out of the ordinary. This newly built hotel in the middle of a modern IT campus combines urban chic with fairytale flair and is aimed at business travellers and holidaymakers alike.

Our third new addition last year was the Tools Hotel Laichingen/Ulm. The modern bed & breakfast hotel impresses with its well thought-out concept that combines functionality and stylish design. For holidaymakers, business travellers and all guests passing through, the Tools Hotel is a good starting point for exploring the Swabian Alb region.

A look ahead - The Lakeside Hotel - Relax & Spa

We are eagerly awaiting the opening of the Lakeside Hotel - Relax & Spa in Plau am See in spring 2025. This project made good progress last year and will add another highlight to our portfolio. Located directly on Lake Plau, the Lakeside Hotel will create a place of rest and relaxation - perfect for anyone who wants to experience nature and wellness in harmony.

Mastering challenges - Together into the future

But the truth is that 2024 was not only characterised by successes. Rising operating costs, inflation, changes in travel behaviour and the increasing trend towards short-term bookings presented us with major challenges. Technological change within the hotel industry also demanded rapid adjustments. We also had to say goodbye to a few hotels and valued team members. Nevertheless, we can look back on a successful year. We have found our way to meet these challenges and maintain our position in a highly competitive industry.

We owe the successes of 2024 to our dedicated team and our loyal guests. We are proud to continue developing and operating individual hotels in Germany for relaxing holiday moments, successful conference events and the best time of the year. We look forward to 2025 with confidence and vigour, ready to write new chapters in our company history. Hey, I'm ...

Fabian, always up for a trip to the seaside. In his luggage is his wonderful family, consisting of 5 girls - two of them little crazy fur noses. The beach lover, who tries to get the best shots of his girls and the Baltic Sea with his camera and full physical effort, also loves to accompany every shoot in our hotels. And if there is no photo for him, it's back to the beach chair in his own garden with a coffee and delicious croissants. As a creative mind, he also keeps an overview in the office and ensures an unforgettable appearance for the hotels. Mediocre is out. Different is in.
