Plastic instead of paper - ... Actually the other way round!

We took a closer look at our cash payment rate in times when contactless payment is preferred, and lo and behold: across the Group, only just under 10% of all payments are still made "in cash".

... That got us thinking!
Low demand, planning and security aspects as well as time savings are just a few examples that encouraged us to take action.

.... And that's what we're doing now!
Since 01.01.2023, we have done away with cash in our hotels.

Card payments make it possible to utilise the advantages of digital money. Transparent and fast payments can be viewed online at any time. And contactless too!

To this end, we have expanded our payment methods across the group for all our guests and offer a wide range of payment options. To avoid long waiting times, the purchase of additional card payment devices is a matter of course for us. Use your mobile phone or smartwatch for your payments. This is also no problem for us. If you want it even faster, simply pay in advance using our payment links. Could it be any easier?

And such a changeover always brings new challenges , for example tip payments. Here, too, we are moving with the times and have found a partner in "Tippie " that specialises in cashless and contactless tip payments. Simply scan the QR code at reception, at the table or in the room and off you go.

Okay, three of our hotels still seem to have a slightly different attitude to cash payments. Perhaps we just have to admit that "the time is not quite ripe" here ... so we are "postponing" the adjustment a little.

By the way.... As well as doing away with cash, we will also stop printing invoices in future and send them by e-mail. This saves paper and ink and, above all, benefits the environment.

We wish you all a good start to an exciting and cashless new year.
